Mechanism Design and Experimental Verification of Novel Automatic Balance Equipment for a Rope-Type Elevator

Multi-rope elevators are widely used in modern buildings. However, problems such as vibration, noise, uneven wear of key components and shortened life caused by the distribution rope tensions still unsolved elevator industry. In order to balance different axial deformation each rope, a novel automatic equipment for rope-type (NABE-RE) is proposed this article. Simulations based on Simscape numerical methodology verify kinematic rationality mechanism. The optimal structural stability core evaluated through series investigations finite element method. Additionally, manufactured prototypes put comparison experiments evaluate their tension balancing performance. results show that unbalance rate system effectively limited low level, thus verifying feasibility function NABE-RE.
